S/V ROSE OF SHARON

Auxiliary schooner Rose of Sharon was designed by Starling Burgess and built in 1930 by Eastern Shipbuilding of Shelbourne, Nova Scotia. She was constructed for Thomas J. Lamont, President of the J.P. Morgan Co., who owned her until 1935. Rose of Sharon was donated to MPT in 2017 by Byron Chamberlin. She is the last Starling Burgess Schooner left. A true maritime treasure.
